Volleyball Recap: Bay Tech Takes a Loss

Bay Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Griffin Academy Griffins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bay Tech of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 22-25, 25-15.

Griffin Academy was led to victory by Saharah Galvin and Valeria Lopez. Galvin had four digs and two aces, while Lopez had 13 digs. With that strong performance, Lopez is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

Bay Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Griffin Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Bay Tech and Golden State Prep will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Griffin Academy has already played their next matchup (against Kairos Public), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
