Basketball Recap: Gaithersburg Takes a Loss

Gaithersburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 76-65 to the Richard Montgomery Rockets. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Gaithersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Richard Montgomery, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Gaithersburg and Walter Johnson will compete for holiday cheer on Monday. One thing working in Gaithersburg's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Richard Montgomery, they will be home for the holidays to greet Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
