Softball Recap: East Bladen Eagles vs. Whiteville Wolfpack
East Bladen was the 5-3 winner over Whiteville when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolfpack on Wednesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
East Bladen saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Niyah Wooten, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
East Bladen's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Whiteville, their record now sits at 7-11.
East Bladen will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th. The Dark Horses have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.44 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
