Basketball Game Preview: TERRA Environmental vs. St. Brendan Sabres

TERRA Environmental is 2-8 against St. Brendan since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, TERRA Environmental will head out on the road to face off against the St. Brendan Sabres at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Wednesday, TERRA Environmental came up short against Killian and fell 48-40. While losing is never fun, TERRA Environmental can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Killian is ranked 165th).

Despite the loss, TERRA Environmental got top-tier performance from Celeste Teboe, who went 8 for 19 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. Teboe is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Meanwhile, St. Brendan lost to Archbishop McCarthy at home by a 57-42 margin on Tuesday.

TERRA Environmental will have to contain Bella Perez as she made an impact in St. Brendan's last game. She posted 17 points. The match was Perez's third in a row with at least ten points.

TERRA Environmental's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-6. As for St. Brendan, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

TERRA Environmental came up short against St. Brendan in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 40-31. Can TERRA Environmental avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
