Dixon scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 78-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Argonaut Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 822nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 243rd).

Leading Argonaut to victory were Mariano Lopez and JJ Lundgren. Lopez almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine boards, while Lundgren went 7-for-16 on his way to 16 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. What's more, Lopez also posted an 82% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February. Another player making a difference was Jordan Caspary, who shot 45% from the field en route to 14 points.

Dixon is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3. As for Argonaut, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Dixon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-63 win against El Dorado on the 12th. As for Argonaut, they have also already played their next game, a 71-61 victory against Sierra on the 12th.
