Basketball Recap: Ludington Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Ludington had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-52 win over the Orchard View Cardinals. Given the Orioles' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Cardinals are ranked 506th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ludington pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Orchard View, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ludington will face off against St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orchard View, they will take on Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
