Baseball Recap: Crystal Lake Central Comes Up Short

Crystal Lake Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Prairie Ridge Wolves, falling 8-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Crystal Lake Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-17-1. As for Prairie Ridge, they pushed their record up to 22-6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Crystal Lake Central will square off against Sycamore at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Prairie Ridge, they will venture away from home to square off against Niles North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
