Volleyball Recap: Maryville Christian Comes Up Short

Maryville Christian and Edwardsville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Maryville Christian had to settle for second. They fell 2-0 to the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in April.

Edwardsville had a senior duo take command as Nicholas Paschall had three digs and three aces and Lucas Marsh had 13 assists and two aces. Paschall is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Maryville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Edwardsville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-12.

Maryville Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edwardsville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against O'Fallon on the 29th.
