Basketball Recap: Juneau-Douglas Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Juneau-Douglas couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Mountain City Christian Academy Lions on Saturday, falling 57-37. The Crimson Bears haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Keelie Kronberger had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds for Mountain City Christian Academy. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Schaeffer, who posted ten points and five boards.

Juneau-Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Mountain City Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 22-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Juneau-Douglas nor Mountain City Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
