Basketball Recap: DSST: Montview Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

DSST: Montview and Colorado Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but DSST: Montview had to settle for second. The contest between the DSST: Montview Knights and the Colorado Academy Mustangs didn't end well, with the DSST: Montview Knights falling 51-35. The Knights have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

It was another big night for James Claypool, who went 12-for-13 to rack up 27 points and five rebounds for Colorado Academy. Claypool continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Clyde Love was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 10 points along with five assists and five boards.

DSST: Montview's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Colorado Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

DSST: Montview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Colorado Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-49 win against Sterling on the 8th.
