Basketball Game Preview: Christian Brothers Falcons vs. Tokay Tigers

Two dominant forwards in Stephan Hewitt and Marcus Shoneff are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Christian Brothers Falcons will take on the Tokay Tigers in a tournament on Thursday. One thing working in Christian Brothers' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Tuesday, Christian Brothers needed a bit of extra time to put away McClatchy. They managed a 65-59 win over the Lions.

It was another big night for Hewitt, who posted 23 points in addition to eight boards and seven blocks. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Powers, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.

While Tokay didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down Modesto 65-49 on Wednesday. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Tokay has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Christian Brothers, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
