Volleyball Recap: Douglas County Takes a Loss

Douglas County came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Rock Canyon Jaguars, falling 3-0. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-13.

Reese Millar paced Douglas County's offense, picking up eight kills. Millar got some help from Ady Millar and her 13 assists.

Douglas County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Rock Canyon, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Douglas County will face off against rival Ponderosa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rock Canyon is set to take on their familiar foe ThunderRidge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
