Recap: Hulett Devils vs. Southeast Cyclones

The Hulett Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 51-18 loss at the hands of Southeast. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hulett has scored all season.

It was another big night for Ayden Desmond, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds for Southeast. The match was Desmond's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was TJ Moats, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.

Hulett bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.2 points per game. As for Southeast, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Hulett will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sundance at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Southeast will be home for the holidays to greet Rock River at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rock River comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
