Basketball Recap: Stranahan Takes a Loss

Stranahan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Fort Lauderdale Flying L and fell 52-4. While losing is never fun, the Mighty Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 660th, while the Flying L's are ranked 311th).

Stranahan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Fort Lauderdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Stranahan has already played their next game (against Deerfield Beach), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fort Lauderdale will challenge Cardinal Gibbons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Gibbons will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Fort Lauderdale surely won't give up without a fight.
