On Tuesday, it was close, but Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic sidestepped Appoquinimink for a 3-1 win. The Friars/Pandas haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Michael Klawansky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic let Ryan Friel and Sergio Hernandez run wild. Friel scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-3, while Hernandez scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Hernandez a new career-high.
Devon Prep might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-2 to Archbishop Wood, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Tide haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Colin Carey was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
At the plate, Devon Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Flannery, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Alex Hannah also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Devon Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
