Baseball Recap: High Point Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

High Point Baptist Academy came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the East Columbus Gators, falling 13-3.

High Point Baptist Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reagan Wodicka, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. Blaise Perrone was another, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

High Point Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for East Columbus, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Point Baptist Academy will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Conestoga Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be High Point Baptist Academy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for East Columbus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Bladen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in East Columbus' favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while East Bladen has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
