Softball Recap: El Diamante Miners vs. Monache Marauders
El Diamante lost to Monache back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Miners lost 12-2 to the Marauders. The Miners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Alexis Ruvalcaba was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Makayla Heatherly was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
El Diamante's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Monache, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. El Diamante will take on Golden West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
