Baseball Recap: Franklin Central Takes a Loss

Franklin Central and Center Grove squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Franklin Central had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-3. The loss continues a trend for the Flashes in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

Nate Schwark was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Franklin Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Center Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

Franklin Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Center Grove, they will square off against Brownsburg at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
