Volleyball Recap: Oakville Takes a Loss

Oakville lost against Kirkwood two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneers. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Oakville ultimately came up short, they really made Kirkwood work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 15-25, 25-20.

Oakville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15-1. As for Kirkwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10-1 record this season.

Oakville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Lindbergh on the 14th. As for Kirkwood, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Winona on the 11th.
