Soccer Recap: Northeast Early College's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Northeast Early College had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Eastside Early College Panthers. Considering the Raiders have won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Eastside Early College with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Raquel Alvarez, Allison DeLeon, and Iris (Alexa) Moya.

Northeast Early College pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four games. As for Eastside Early College, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Northeast Early College and Eastside Early College will both be playing Gateway College Preparatory the next time they take the pitch. Eastside Early College will host Gateway College Preparatory at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Northeast Early College will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on February 28th.
