Basketball Recap: Massac County Finds Playoff Glory Versus Murphysboro

It's playoff time, and Massac County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Murphysboro Red Devils by a score of 59-52 on Wednesday. 59 seems to be a good number for the Patriots as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Massac County was led to victory by Jack Turner and Jude Harmon. Turner shot 64% from the field to rack up 22 points and six boards, while Harmon went 7-for-11 on his way to 20 points.

The win (which was Massac County's third in a row) raised their record to 14-17. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points over those games. As for Murphysboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 23-6.

Massac County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 40-35 defeat against Vienna on the 28th. Murphysboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
