Baseball Game Preview: Big Foot Chiefs vs. Edgerton Crimson Tide

For the second straight game, Big Foot will face off against Edgerton. The Chiefs will host the Crimson Tide at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Big Foot's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Edgerton by a score of 3-0. The game was the first time the Chiefs have beaten the Crimson Tide on their field since May 14, 2019.

The result came thanks to Connor Weeks's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Big Foot is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Big Foot saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Martinez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Big Foot and bumps their season record up to 7-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Edgerton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.
