Baseball Recap: Halstead Comes Up Short

After flying high against Haven on Tuesday, Halstead came back down to earth. The Dragons fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 8-2.

Halstead's loss dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Haven, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.

Looking ahead, Halstead will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hoisington at 4:00 p.m. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.38 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of. Haven has already played their next contest (against Hutchinson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
