Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain View Eagles vs. MMI Preparatory School

The Mountain View Eagles will square off against MMI Preparatory School at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain View will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Mountain View is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They put the hurt on Lackawanna Trail with a sharp 3-0 win.

Mountain View got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aubrey Sanders out in front who had 21 assists and five aces. Sanders is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Addison Kilmer was another key player, getting 12 kills, five blocks, and three digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Mountain View was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, MMI Preparatory School posted their closest win since September 16, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Susquehanna 3-2.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for MMI Preparatory School, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's match: Mountain View hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 9.1 blocks per game. It's a different story for MMI Preparatory School, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 blocks. Given Mountain View's sizable advantage in that area, MMI Preparatory School will need to find a way to close that gap.

Mountain View took their victory against MMI Preparatory School when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score.
