Softball Game Preview: Colfax Bulldogs vs. Liberty Lancers

The Colfax Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Liberty Lancers at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colfax is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Colfax came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Warden by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Liberty has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.86 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against Inchelium, falling 19-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lancers have suffered since April 16, 2024.

Jordyn Jeske made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Colfax's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Liberty, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Colfax couldn't quite finish off Liberty when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
