With a playoff win on the line, West Ouachita rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the South Terrebonne Gators as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

West Ouachita is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for South Terrebonne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-17-1.

Coming up, West Ouachita will challenge Iowa on Tuesday. South Terrebonne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
