Cairo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bainbridge Bearcats, falling 57-31. One positive for the Syrupmakers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Cairo's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bainbridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cairo won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Thomasville at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bainbridge, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Seminole County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
