Soccer Game Preview: Point Loma vs. San Dieguito Academy

Point Loma is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past Eastlake 2-1. That's two games straight that the Pointers have won by just one goal.

Alejandro Martinez and Ezekiel Varela scored both of Point Loma's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Meanwhile, San Dieguito Academy's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They beat Hilltop by a goal, winning 3-2. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by just one goal.

San Dieguito Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-14 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Point Loma and bumps their season record up to 6-8.
