Basketball Recap: Stuart Starts off Right with Win over Niobrara/Verdigre

Stuart had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 65-27 victory over the Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-14.

Stuart's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavynn Mustin, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. Mustin's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayde Ramm, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

Stuart has already played their next matchup, a 55-46 win against Central Valley on the 6th. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-20 loss against Elgin/Pope John on the 6th.
