Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Faith Christian

Faith Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 44-31 victory over the Spring Baptist Academy Royals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-27 back in January.

Faith Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yulissa DelaRosa, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 13 steals. The match was DelaRosa's third in a row with at least 15 points. Alexa Tomlison was another key player, putting up six points along with 22 boards and three steals.

Faith Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 22 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Faith Christian pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.9 points over those games. As for Spring Baptist Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

As of now, neither Faith Christian nor Spring Baptist Academy have any future games scheduled.
