Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lynnfield). They put the hurt on the Amesbury Redhawks with a sharp 15-5 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Redhawks: they've now won five in a row.

Lynnfield's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Amesbury, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Lynnfield will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Stoneham at 1:00 p.m. Amesbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
