Baseball Recap: Dixie Wins Going Away Against Box Elder

After only one run in their last match, Dixie made sure to put some runs up on the board against Box Elder on Friday. Everything went the Dixie Flyers' way against the Box Elder Bees as the Dixie Flyers made off with a 13-3 victory.

Jordan Andreas spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Dixie got a massive performance out of Carson Hunt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Andreas, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Dixie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Box Elder only posted an OBP of .458.

The win got Dixie back to even at 1-1. As for Box Elder, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Dixie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Bear River on the 7th. As for Box Elder, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-2 defeat against Springville on the 7th.
