Soccer Game Preview: Horizon vs. El Dorado

Horizon hasn't had much luck against El Dorado recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Horizon Scorpions will be playing in front of their home fans against the El Dorado Aztecs at 10:30 a.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Horizon came up short against Del Valle and fell 4-2. While losing is never fun, the Scorpions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 445th in Texas, while the Conquistadores are ranked 96th in Texas).

Meanwhile, El Dorado entered their contest against Bel Air on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. El Dorado came up short against Bel Air, falling 4-0. Considering the last time the Aztecs couldn't score was back in January, the team can't take the result too hard.

Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for El Dorado, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
