Recap: Central City Value Jaguars vs. Downtown Magnets Suns
The Central City Value Jaguars suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 72-47 walloping at the hands of Downtown Magnets. Central City Value has struggled against Downtown Magnets recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leonel Chavez, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Andy Lobos was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Downtown Magnets' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Yuri Hernandez led the charge by scoring 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Martinez, who scored 15 points along with six steals and five assists.
Central City Value has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Downtown Magnets, they pushed their record up to 13-9 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Central City Value will take on Annenberg at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Downtown Magnets, they will head out on the road to face off against Orthopaedic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
