Recap: Calhoun Tigers vs. Autaugaville Eagles
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Calhoun Tigers had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They took down the Eagles 51-37. The win was nothing new for Calhoun as they're now sitting on three straight.
Calhoun's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremy Hardy, who scored ten points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Tyler Robertson, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Calhoun's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Autaugaville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Calhoun's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Pickens County at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th. Hopefully Calhoun focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday. Autaugaville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
