Daviess County posted their closest win since May 1, 2025 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Hart County Raiders 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Anthony Brinkley tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Blake Huff was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Weston Lawrence was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Daviess County's victory bumped their record up to 3-16. As for Hart County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-18.

Looking ahead, Daviess County will take on Apollo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
