Football Recap: Out-of-Door Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Out-of-Door Academy dropped to 7-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They were dealt a 49-6 loss at the hands of the St. Petersburg Catholic Barons. The game marked the Thunder's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Out-of-Door Academy had strong showings from Allen Clark, who rushed for 66 yards, and Brady Cleveland, who picked up 63 receiving yards and one touchdown. Cleveland was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 60 yards.

As for St. Petersburg Catholic, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.1 points on average this season.

Chase Burrill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 283 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also punching in one score on the ground. Burrill is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Larry Christian III helped Burrill out on the ground, rushing for 110 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

Coincidentally, Out-of-Door Academy and St. Petersburg Catholic will both be playing Seffner Christian the next time they take the field. The Barons will host the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Thunder will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
