Preview: Bloomfield vs. Osmond

Osmond may have come out ahead in its last game, but it shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. It squares off against Bloomfield this Friday at 7:00 PM. Osmond has seen its point totals steadily rise over the past three games, a trend the team will no doubt hope to continue.

Osmond is still under.500 but has been making strides to fix that in its last two games. It picked up a decisive 'W' against Elkhorn Valley last week, finishing up at 36 - 0. Junior Anthony Heiman deserves a lot of the credit as he earned two touchdowns and 116 yards rushing the ball. Heiman has been a consistent playmaker for Osmond as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, Bloomfield can now show off five landslide victories after its game last week. The final score between it and St. Mary's last week was a 68 - 20 blowout in Bloomfield's favor. With four TDs, senior Quinten Moles was a significant factor in the success. This also marked the 6th consecutive game in which Moles rushed for 100+ yards.

Their wins bumped Osmond to 2-4 and Bloomfield to 6-0. Both Osmond and Bloomfield are bound to feel confident after their prior matchups, but one team's ego will take a hit. We'll find out which one when the teams meet up this week.
