Softball Game Preview: Orrick Bearcats vs. Santa Fe Chiefs

Orrick is 0-6 against Santa Fe since March of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Bearcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Orrick is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 31st straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They lost 22-1 to Concordia.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Santa Fe's offense. They came up short against Lone Jack on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The Chiefs just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Orrick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Santa Fe, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Orrick might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Santa Fe when the teams last played back in March. Can the Bearcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
