It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Brevard ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Franklin Panthers, sneaking past 11-9. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Brevard's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Franklin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
