Unity Christian extended their  winning streak to four games  thanks to a huge performance from  Ella Claire Goodwin. The Lions came within a single  set of losing the streak, but they secured  a   3-2 W against the Georgia-Cumberland Academy Jaguars for which the team can thank  Goodwin, who  had 30 assists and seven  digs. She is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 15 or more in each of the last five games she's  played.
 It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Unity Christian got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-28, 25-23, 18-25,  15-12.
 Despite the  loss, Georgia-Cumberland Academy had strong showings from  Bela Barbosa, who  had 29  digs, nine  kills,  and one  block, and  Ava Reese, who  had 24  digs and three  blocks. Another player making a difference was  Milly Crecelius, who  had 16  digs, six  kills,  and two  blocks.
Unity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Georgia-Cumberland Academy, they now  have a losing record of 7-8.
 Coming up, Unity Christian will head out on the road to  square off against  Rockmart  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Lions are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. After both having extra time off, Georgia-Cumberland Academy and Cornerstone Prep Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
