Brown County was the 54-47 winner over Liberty when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Brown County Hornets took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Eagles on Friday. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Liberty's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Sparrow, who went 6 of 13 en route to 19 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. With that strong performance, Sparrow is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Vince Cramsey, who posted 17 points and six steals.

Brown County's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Liberty, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-9.

Brown County will head out to square off against Augusta Southeastern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty has already played their next game, a 65-47 victory against West Prairie on the 3rd.
