Baseball Recap: Tohatchi Comes Up Short

Tohatchi blew Zuni out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Zuni got their revenge. The Cougars fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 7-5. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunderbirds earlier this season, when they won 12-3.

Tohatchi saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amir Woodie, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another was Shawn Francisco, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Tohatchi's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Zuni, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tohatchi beat the Thunderbirds by a score of 10-1 later that day.
