Softball Recap: Halls Beats Karns for Their Sixth Straight Win

While Halls's victory against Karns wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Halls Red Devils skirted past the Karns Beavers 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Red Devils, who have now won six contests in a row.

Atiana Stamper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Makaylie Hutchison was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Emery Bales, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Halls pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs. As for Karns, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Halls will welcome Powell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Karns, they will host Oak Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oak Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
