Basketball Recap: Lockney Comes Up Short

Lockney lost against Hale Center back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lockney Longhorns took a blow against the Hale Center Owls, falling 80-40. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1378th, while the Owls are ranked 378th).

Lockney is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12. As for Hale Center, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Lockney will challenge Bovina at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lockney is facing Bovina at the right time seeing as Bovina is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hale Center, they will take on Sudan at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
