Basketball Recap: Scout Woods and Halle Miller Secure Win for Wahpeton

Central Cass typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Wahpeton proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 59-43 victory over the Central Cass Squirrels. The Huskies didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Wahpeton was led to victory by Halle Miller and Scout Woods. Miller went 7-for-13 on her way to 18 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Woods went 5-for-9 en route to 16 points and eight boards. That's the most points Miller has posted since back in December of 2023. Claire Woods was another key player, putting up nine points.

Wahpeton's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Central Cass, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.

Wahpeton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-59 win against Northern Cass on the 10th. As for Central Cass, they have also already played their next match, a 76-74 loss against Shiloh Christian on the 8th.
