Football Recap: Ladysmith Comes Up Short

Ladysmith came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 44-12 loss at the hands of the Unity Eagles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ladysmith now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Unity, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.

Coming up, Ladysmith will face off against Webster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Unity, they are taking a road trip to challenge Boyceville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 1.6 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
