Basketball Game Preview: Monroe Hornets vs. Bellbrook Golden Eagles

Monroe hasn't had much luck against Bellbrook recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Monroe Hornets will head out to challenge the Bellbrook Golden Eagles at 7:15 p.m.

Monroe came up into this matchup off a tough 27-point loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Franklin by a score of 34-32 on Saturday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bellbrook put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Beavercreek with a sharp 56-36 victory. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Bellbrook pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Monroe lost to Bellbrook on the road by a decisive 49-33 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Monroe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
