Volleyball Recap: Wynot's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

It was a good run, but Wynot unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the St. Paul Wildcats. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wynot's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haley Wieseler, who had 13 assists and nine digs. Wieseler is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season. Jordan Foxhoven was another key player, getting four digs and three aces.

Wynot's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for St. Paul, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Wynot didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against O'Neill on the 11th. As for St. Paul, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Norfolk Catholic on the 11th.
