Baseball Recap: Denison Yellow Jackets vs. Walnut Grove Wildcats
Denison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Walnut Grove Wildcats, falling 19-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 last Wednesday.
Max Aleman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Tristian Carvell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Denison's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Walnut Grove, they pushed their record up to 2-8-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
